This is my first ever blog so we’ll see how things go. I am typically not a very outspoken person, especially when it comes to my spiritual beliefs. It’s not that I’m ashamed of my beliefs, but rather, I’m slightly insecure of my spiritual maturity/knowledge. I’ve been saved for almost 20 years, but in many ways I feel like I’m no more mature than a newborn Christian. I’ve only recently, within the last 2 years or so, started trying to learn more about the Bible and started trying to strengthen my relationship with God. I feel like God has been calling me to do some kind of work for His Kingdom, but I’ve not been able to quite figure out exactly what that is. I know for certain that one area that I need to do more in is witnessing. However, as I stated above, I am not an outspoken person. I get nervous when I am talking to someone I don’t know, especially when it is about a subject I feel inefficiently equipped to discuss.

This blog is intended to accomplish a three-fold purpose. First and foremost, it is intended to glorify God and His Kingdom. Second, it will be a Bible study aid for me as I will attempt to dig deep into the Word of God and gain a greater understanding of its contents and message. Third, I hope and pray it will bless someone who reads it that either doesn’t know Jesus as their personal Savior, is going through a difficult time, is trying to overcome some sort of temptation, or is trying as I am to learn more about God’s Word.

I make no claims to be a Bible Scholar or to be the most knowledgeable person when it comes to knowing what the scriptures mean. I will be discussing what my beliefs are on the scriptures. My analysis will consist of my interpretation of the scriptures through the power of the Holy Spirit through prayer as well as research of other authors thoughts and commentaries. I make no claims that anything in this blog will be 100% accurate, but I will do my best to present the most accurate and edifying analysis that I can. With that being said, please feel free to offer any additional insight or constructive criticism that you may have.

Happy Reading!
